Red Flag #1 – Bold Income Claims
The Home Income Site immediately starts with a large headline. Learn how to make $3,000-$6,000 Per month in your spare time… From Home… Starting Today.
They claim they will enable you to start their own online businesses and earn a substantial income. Making substantial sums of money quickly and easily from having an online business.
They continue to insist that it is super easy and no experience necessary.
We are used to seeing these types of claims. However, this should make your spidey senses tingle. Because of the more ethical way to claim this is “How I’ or ‘Learn How I’.
Using these simple words turns this from a sketchy ad to maybe a case study. Representing how this person made this income. Which is a subtle way lets you know these results may be atypical.
Red Flag #2 – Fictional Character
So you get to meet Jason. But you already know where I am going with this. Jason claims to be the creator of this system and gives you a backstory on how he got here. Except, Jason doesn’t exist because the guy in the video is not Jason.
He’s a paid actor you can easily find on fiverr.com. A website where you can hire people for all types of services for as low as $5. But I digress.
He’s actually a pretty popular spokesman who has been used in literally dozens of these home income opportunities.
Red Flag #3 – Attack of the Clones
Attack of the clones is my way of saying this system, and the sales page is one clone of many.
As I mentioned above in red flag #2, the actor has made his rounds. But this actual video on Home Income Site was also the original video to the ‘T’ for My Online Dream Biz. Which, of course, no longer exists!
This is a big red flag!
When you gotta keep switching system names + domains to outlast the complaints and negative reviews.
Red Flag #4 – So What is this?
A good practice in marketing is to provide you with just enough information to have you want more. For example, you want to sell people the smell and sounds of a sizzling steak. They get the steak(the meat) once they get inside.
So I started with this because the sales video does a really piss poor job of even selling you the sizzle—thirty minutes in, and you still quite not sure what Jason is peddling.
Yes, they mention what they are offering you is a Done-For-You online business model, which they are allowing you to use for yourself.
These types of business models have been around for a while. In fact, what I found is this Home Income Site website is connected to MOBE.
MOBE is short for My Online Business Education, which use to be a digital marketing educational training program based on a 1-on-1 coaching structure. I said used to because their deceptive tactics finally caught up to them just like it did with the infamous Digital Altitude.
Regardless this biz op falls under the category of a high ticket business opportunity. Something is considered to be high-ticket if you have the ability to earn $1,000 or more via affiliate commissions.
So how do you do that?
It’s referred to specifically as a ‘pay to play’ model. This means a couple of things:
- You have to buy the right to access each level of advanced training.
- When you buy each product, you are also buying the licensing rights to ‘resell’ their products and earn a commission.
So, in other words, I highly believe the Home Income Site is actually the creation of an affiliate of MOBE.
Red Flag #5 – Fake Earnings
By know, we already know Jason is a fake. We already know the website is a clone too. So naturally, when Jason shows you a screenshot of his personal earnings for a month.
It’s gotta be fake too. If it isn’t fake, it could possibly belong to the brains of this operation. Either way, these are not Jason’s!
Red Flag #6 – Receive $400 When This Ends
On top of the bold claims of income, they also state that you will receive $400 when the video ends. Sounded sketchy, but ok Jason,’ I’ll play along.’
Of course, once we get there, you to come to realize he wasn’t going to actually give you $400.
He’s blessing you with a $400 discount off the purchase of his system. He claims the real price is $499, but you can get access for $99.
I don’t know about you, but giving me $400 or telling me I’m saving $400 doesn’t feel the same.
Red Flag #7 – No Testimonials… Real or Fake
At this point, we pretty much used to every product or service to provide testimonials. Even if a majority of the time, we discover they are fake thru due diligence.
Here they don’t even bother.
They have all the faith in the world in their boy Jason to deliver the goods. And deliver he did. At the time of this post, MOBE had brought in over $125 million.
Bonus Red flag #1 – ‘Pay to Play.’
There are lots of complaints about their upsells and not refunding your money whey they claim its an easy process.
Isn’t that convenient? These people know what they are doing or think they do.
To be fair, they are offering you an actual training program. There are modules for you to watch. And there is information for you to grasp.
As I mentioned earlier, you have to pay to play. They have a upsell that would cost you to the tune of $30,000.
Suppose you did go all in. Then you would be able to make a $6,000 affiliate commission if someone else also bought that package through your affiliate link.
The issue is a lot of people can’t make that type of investment. So a majority of people who actually can pay this never make it back because they can’t find enough people to spend that kind of money.
But the market strategy of upselling is not wrong. In fact, a lot of online business models would not be profitable if they didn’t have upsells. Also, it benefits us as consumers if they do have them. Granted, if the actual information is worth its price tag.
You see as humans we always love to know what’s next. Marketers know if you don’t have that next level product or service for us. We will go get it from someone or somewhere else.
Bonus Red Flag #2 – FTC banning the parent site MOBE
LOL, there is no bigger red flag than this. In June 2018 the FTC filed and obtained a court order banning MOBE from selling business opportunities and business coaching. In fact ,the went as far as labeling this a Coaching scheme. Here is the actual press release.
